Dallas, Texas – June 4, 2019 – Sky Island Capital (“Sky Island”), a Dallas-based lower middle market private equity firm, is pleased to announce that its portfolio company, Material Sciences Corporation (“MSC”), has acquired Alum-A-Fold Pacific, Inc. “AFP’s strategically located facility in the Los Angeles area will expand our geographical reach and allow us to better serve West Coast customers,” stated Pat Murley, Chief Executive Officer of MSC.  “We agreed to partner with the Sky Island team to reinvigorate our add-on acquisition efforts and we are very happy that in just a few months we have already been able to add AFP to our company.  We look forward to continuing to build MSC alongside Sky Island.”
